Do you aware about your mobile banking transactions are secure and do you feel your PC was fully protected?

,
Most of the technology experts suggest that to check our PC and smart phones before they use whether they are secured or not. They confirm that majority of PC and smart phones are unsecured so the transactions done through the mobile banking are also unsecured so be aware why it is UN secure and how to protect our PC and Smart phone in that thrifts. Regarding this one article was released in News @ THE HINDU.
“Zeus is the most pernicious “Trojan horse” which is a destructive programmed disguised as an application on the internet. From the last four years it has infected millions of PCs, taking control of the computer and stealing personal banking details.

Microsoft has fought against Zeus, which is one of the most difficult types of malware to detect but the great fear among cybercrime experts is no longer your home computer. A new strain of Zeus, dubbed “Zitmo” (it stands for “Zeus in the mobile“) has begun to exploit a large hole in personal banking security in the Smartphone in our pocket.

Trojans can enter a Smartphone in many ways. All you have to do is click on a link or attachment that contains the virus, and within seconds it can secretly seize control of the phone. That link might be a tiny URL in Twitter. The attachment could be a vCard, the standard format for sending a business card to a phone or it could be that you are accessing a website in a cafe. At WiFi hotspots, fraudsters create bogus gateways, known as “evil twins”, to which the latest mobile phones will automatically connect. As the Guardian revealed in April, once a connection is established, all the information passing through the gateway can be read directly or decrypted, allowing fraudsters to harvest user names, passwords and messages.
The Trojan sleeps on the home PC until the user logs into a bank website. At that point it wakes up, intercepts the process, asking the user to download a new security device on to their mobile phone to complete the banking log-in process. But in reality, the new security device is the Zeus Trojan infecting their phone. Once it’s on, it takes control of the user’s phone.

How to secure our devises:

•Don’t trust un known links or attachments send by unknown persons. If a person you do know has sent you a link or attachment, check with them that it is legitimate before opening it.
•Don’t use public Wi-Fi for financial transactions and personal transactions.
•accept any updates that are made available for your devices.
•install applications from reputable publishers only.
•Don’t “jailbreak” your iPhone.
•Do set an unguessable pin in case your phone is stolen.

How NRI buying land without personally appearing & Steps for NRI Land Registration

,
Due to the frequently changing rules and regulations of land registration, Generally NRI people were confused.. A regulation change, last year, made it a requirement for the buyer and seller to be present at the registration office for the transaction and affix photo and finger print.

For Non resident Indians registration they need to send the power (GPA) to his family members or others to get the document registered in their name through a power of attorney, this power attorney stamp charge is normal for to direct blood relative and for others stamp charge is high, in this case also buyer and seller must produce their thump impression and photo at the time of registration, it can be sent through email or fax.

How NRI buying land without personally appearing:

Step 1: Find the fair value / Govt value for the property. Mostly the broker can find this information for you. Your registration price must be above this value.

Step 2: Buy Stamp Duty Paper for the registration price. Stamp paper could be bought from vendors or local Govt treasury.

Step 3: Mail One Stamp Duty Paper (of the highest value is preferred, if there are multiple) to the NRI who is involved.

Step 4: every NRI need to paste a PASSPORT SIZE PHOTO on the Stamp Duty Paper and place the LEFT THUMP IMPRESSION (left thump finger print) on the appropriate place. THUMP IMPRESSION must be overlapping the photo and stamp paper. The seller’s photo must be pasted immediately after the logo on the stamp paper the buyer’s photo must be pasted immediately after the seller’s photo.

Step 5: Attach attested/notarized copies of identity and address proof and documents to prove the NRI status. Identity proof can be passport first page. Foreign Address proof can be employment letter and NRI status proof could be copy of visa.

Caution: Double check with the local registration office, what documents do they accept.

Step 6: The NRIs representative can be present with the above stamp paper and documents to execute the registration and It is advisable to double check the process directly with someone in the specific registration office in advance.
There is a risk involved in sending a blank stamp paper(the details are written usualy at the time of registration) with finger print. Some else getting hold of it might cause big troubles and long legal battle. I think the initial rule (requirement for physical presence) was made without enough thinking and later they bend it to accommodate NRIs.

Also it is possible to find this information from a vendor agency/individual who has experience with the specific registration office where the transaction will be registered.

Basic information for Land/Property Registration:

Generally Land / Property Registration refer to the registration to document changes in ownership and transactions involving immovable property. Whenever you buy a piece of land/immovable property, you need to register the same with the authority concerned, so that a legal ownership title is guaranteed to you. This greatly reduces risk of fraud and helps solve disputes easily, in addition to creating and maintaining an up-to-date public record.

Needs to Do to Register Land/Property:

Under the computerized Land and Property Registration system, registration is easy. It facilitates transparency in valuation and eliminates third party interaction. Some states require an application to be submitted to the concerned authority, which may be the Sub-Registrar or the SDM of your area. The application form can either be downloaded online or obtained from the concerned authority's office. After due verification of details, the Deed is drawn up and the registration process is complete.

Basics of protfolio management for MBA freshers

,
Generally I give an information that to be successful with any investment strategy, so we have to begin with an investment philosophy that is consistent at its core and which matches not only the markets you choose to invest in but also your individual characteristics.

What is an investment?

An investment philosophy is a coherent way of thinking about markets, how they work and the types of mistakes that you believe consistently underlie investor behavior. Why do we need to make assumptions about investor mistakes? As we will argue, most investment strategies are designed to take advantage of errors made by some or all investors in pricing stocks. Those mistakes themselves are driven by far more basic assumptions about human behavior. To provide an illustration, the rational or irrational tendency of human beings to join crowds can result in price momentum – stocks that have gone up the most in the recent past are more likely to go up in the near future. Let us consider, therefore, the ingredients of an investment philosophy.

How can we View Market Efficiency:

A closely related second ingredient of an investment philosophy is the view of market efficiency or its absence that you need for the philosophy to be a successful one. While all active investment philosophies make the assumption that markets are inefficient, they differ in their views on what parts of the market the inefficiencies are most likely to show up and how long they will last.

Why do we need an investment philosophy?

Most investors have no investment philosophy, and the same can be said about many money managers and professional investment advisors. They adopt investment strategies that seem to work (for other investors) and abandon them when they do not. Why, if this is possible, you might ask, do you need an investment philosophy? The answer is simple. In the absence of an investment philosophy, you will tend to shift from strategy to strategy simply based upon a strong sales pitch from a proponent or perceived recent success.

There are three negative consequences for our portfolio:

a.Lacking a rudder or a core set of beliefs, you will be easy prey for charlatans and pretenders, with each one claiming to have found the magic strategy that beats the market.

b.As you switch from strategy to strategy, you will have to change your portfolio, resulting in high transactions costs and you will pay more in taxes.

c.While there may be strategies that do work for some investors, they may not be appropriate for you, given your objectives, risk aversion and personal characteristics. In addition to having a portfolio that under performs the market, you are likely to find yourself with an ulcer or worse.

Find Modes of Investing:

This is a process that we all follow – amateur as well as professional investors - though it may be simpler for an individual constructing his or her own portfolio than it is for a pension fund manager with a varied and demanding clientele.

Step 1: Understanding the Client
Step 2: Portfolio Construction
Step 3: Evaluate portfolio performance

The actual construction of the portfolio, which we divide into three sub-parts.

1.The first of these is the decision on how to allocate the portfolio across different asset classes defined broadly as equities,
2.The second component is the asset selection decision, where individual assets are picked within each asset class to make up the portfolio.
3.The final component is execution, where the portfolio is actually put together. Here investors must weigh the costs of trading against their perceived needs to trade quickly..

The final part of the process, and often the most painful one for professional money managers, is performance evaluation. Investing is after all focused on one objective and one objective alone, which is to make the most money you can, given your particular risk preferences.

For all the above are the short look of the portfolio and the students must have a knowledge in that area, for getting knowledge in that area the students should read which content was given.

Chevrolet Beat Diesel launched by Genaral Motors India

,
General Motors India has introduced its smallest diesel engine car on Monday Globally by Mr. Sumit Sawhney, Vice-President-Marketing Sales, and India. Chevrolet Beat is the smallest car in India, and The U.S.-based automobile company has taken competition on small diesel cars in up coming automobile market. This is especially crucial in a time when the demand for diesel cars in India is at an all time high. With the Chevrolet Beat Diesel, the company will also aim to demonstrate that a three cylinder engine too can be as smooth as say a four potter.

key Specifications:

The 1.0-liter diesel engine has been developed by GM's engineers in Europe and modified to suit Indian driving conditions at the company's technical center in Bangalore. It have a cam chain instead of the conventional cam belt, the XSDE Diesel three potter is designed to be a low maintenance engine. The engine has also been developed keeping in mind the fact that its intended application will be mainly on city streets. Therefore, plenty of low end torque to make city driving a breeze is a strong point of the engine. 936cc and will be one of the segment leaders when it comes to fuel economy.

Tomorrow, at 1130 in the morning, the company will launch the Chevrolet Beat Diesel at Delhi and Mumbai simultaneously. 936cc and will be one of the segment leaders when it comes to fuel economy. Also, the fact that the engine being a three cylinder unit will cost lesser to produce than say, a four cylinder diesel engine that most of the other competing cars in the segment like the Tata Indica eV2 and the Ford Figo Diesel feature. And this factor is expected to make a big difference.
This cost saving aspect of the three pot engine is expected to translate into a lower sticker price for the Chevrolet Beat Diesel; one which we can expect that will be very competitive to say the least. So, you can expect the Chevrolet Beat Diesel to be priced very close to the Tata Indica eV2 or just a little higher than the Indica’s price, thus making it one of the lowest price diesel in a country.GM India also sells a 1.2-liter gasoline Beat car.
