Income tax returns online submission steps to e-filing

Income Tax department Govt of India has introduced the e-filling i.e submission of ITR through the online. Efilling is the fast process to submission of income tax returns through the online. Generally The application is in the form of MS excel hence it makes ITR form filling easy.
Currently the efiling procedure is an easy way to file your Income Tax return through online in India. If you want to know how to do e-filing of income tax online then you can follow the steps given here.

Follow Steps to do e-filing of income tax return :

•Visit appropriate type of return form from here:

•Download the Return filling Software for selected Return form:

                                     Download

•Open that downloaded Excel file & fill the needed information.
•Register and create user id/password.
•Fill the form carefully.
•Fill your return office and generate a XML file
•After that login and click on relevant form on left panel and select submit the Return
•Successful upload acknowledgement details will be displayed.
•Now click on print to generate printout of acknowledgement/ITR-V form.
•Take the print of ITR V in two copies. One copy of ITR V, duly signed by the taxpayer and he has to be sent by ordinary post to Income Tax Department,address given below.

•The data will transmitted electronically 120 days only. If the return is not digitally signed on successful uploading of e-Return, the ITR-V form would be generated which needs to be printed by the tax payers. This is Acknowledgement and Verification.
•Remember the form who sent by registered post or courier will not be accepted and The signature in ITR V must be in BLUE ink only.
