The Medical Council of India will be conducting the common entrance test for admission to undergraduate medical courses for the academic year 2012-13 in May/2012. The NEET-UG for admission of under graduates to MBBS, Post Graduate and super specialty courses. The syllabus has been prepared by the NCERT.The examination is scheduled for January-February 2012. The pattern of the examination, distribution of questions across different MBBS subjects and model questions will be made available on the website in August. The NEET-SS for super-specialty courses (DM/MCh) is scheduled for June 2012.there are 42,000 seats for under graduate medical courses and 20,600 seats for PG medical courses
Common Test syllabus:
The MCI has issued a common core syllabus for MBBS entrance examination, which has been put up in the public domain for feedback till August 11, following which the syllabus for physics, chemistry and biology would be finalized. The modalities for NEET-Post Graduation, common entrance test, for medical post-graduate (MD/MS) admissions are being worked out.
